What is Yoga? What is Nisarga Yoga/Energy Body Yoga?
Yoga means intercourse, coupling, interconnectedness. It is sexual in the most comprehensive sense of the word.

Nonduality: Not-Two |

Inspiration and expiration are the complementary extremes of Breathing. Yoga is the way of seeing that reveals that all so called opposites are extremes of the same thing, and, that the interdependent nature of the relationship of all extremes is seen as two sides of a coin such that there is no space or place where one ends and the other begins. The heart is the homeground of yoga. |

Space and Flow |
Yoga is a dynamic balancing act as the living union of the complementary extremes of Awareness that are mentally labeled as Concentration and Meditation. Each of these forms of Awareness has some of the other in it and the extreme that is used is the one that is appropriate to the moment.
Yogic Awareness includes seeing with your eyes, sensing with all of your bodymind's faculties, and additionally it means understanding.

Nisarga Yoga and Energy Body Yoga:
Nisarga Yoga is Energy Body Yoga which is Breathing Yoga. Breathing Yoga honours the original intention of the ancient founders of yoga as it is the direct approach of seamlessly meshing with the natural flow of life to flower the understanding of your true nature by living it.
In practice Nisarga Yoga is fourfold 'Seeing is Doing' as follows:
What is meant by Ignorance and Enlightenment?
Ignorance is to lack understanding and Enlightenment is to have understanding (there is no 'I' in understanding/enlightenment - it is its own knowing; there is an 'I' in ignorance... these questions are not answerable by the thinking mind).
What is Liberation?
Liberation is the yoga of living the understanding of Enlightenment knowingly.
What is Yoga? What is Hatha Yoga?
Ha-Tha Yoga means the harmonious marriage of masculine-sun energies and female-moon energies. An example is the living relationship of science and art. Its living spirit-nature is current as the current moment and it is the unfolding current of harmonious relationship.
What does Nisarga mean?
Nisarga means natural or natural action as in nature.
The most natural thing is Breathing.
Nisarga is the silence within silence as Listening (the Awareness before and behind thinking), where it is clear that the ground of all doing is Being as Awareness (rather than thinking) and that Being is a Breathing Flow-er.
The flow-er, the flower, is Breathing and Breathing is Life. Breathing is the universal factor.
Life/Awareness causes you to breathe, and breathing causes you to live. Breathing leads you to outer life, and it leads you to inner source of life through and as Awareness which is the principle of Life itself. Thus it is no surprise that concentration and meditation practices involving breathing are found in all wisdom traditions. Breathing plays such an important part in the approach of Being Yoga because breathing is the centre, the meeting space-place of spirit, mind, and body.
The Sanskrit word prana means both 'breath' and 'life'.
|
Breathing
is the single universal factor of living. Its inspiration is birth
and its expiration is death. All that is living - breathes; the
commonality of breathing transcends all distinction and difference.
|
The process of breathing is identical in all, consisting of inhalation and exhalation, flow through arteries and veins, the intercourse of respiration and circulation, and expansion and contraction. It is simultaneously the most invisible-immaterial and the most visible-material factor of being-existence, it is the manifestation of the spirit-mind-body link. For this reason breathing is the natural and most logical factor in yoga and meditation.
How is Nisarga Yoga different from other approaches?
It is Breathing Yoga and Being Yoga as harmonic resonance with what is happening now through Awareness rather than the mentally generated struggle of becoming. It provides all the health and well-being benefits of yoga without being goal oriented. It is founded on the pillars of Breathing and Sensation that are felt as the energy body.
Today's mass media presents Yoga as a mental approach that manifests as a physical practice that is undertaken to become more flexible, relaxed, healthy and to gradually attain a deeper spiritual understanding and become enlightened. Nisarga Yoga is based on the self-evident fact that being is happening in the timeless present and You are That (here That has the same meaning as the Biblical statement "I Am That I Am"). In this light Nisarga Yoga is the direct approach that is founded on Awareness and the authentic action of your energy body as compared to the gradual approach that is founded on the knowledge gathering of your thinking mind and its discipline of your physical body as the means to resolve the challenges of life and living.
"An improvement in posture and breathing is not the sole nor even the primary aim of yoga. Instead, it is either a therapeutic method of freeing the mind from false beliefs, or the insight into ultimate reality, the dharmas, achievable by this method. Yoga is an intrinsic and integrated system consisting of metaphysics, the philosophy of mind, the theory of knowledge, ethics and the philosophy of language." ~ Patanjali
What is the Energy Body?
At the core of all matter lies energy, and your body is no different. The authentic, energy body, is a template for the physical body. It is the vital life-force, chi or prana, that surrounds, permeates and animates your physical body. The breath is your bodymind's principal source of this life-force and all of its abilities depend on it. So your body in its wholeness has a much greater extension than is generally realized. This wholeness is the authentic body that is awakened and flowers through innocent attention in the timeless present, Listening, - it is felt.
How is Nisarga Yoga, Energy Body Yoga, practiced?
It is a practice of spirit, mind and body harmonization via resonance.
Breathing is the most natural act.. Breathing Awareness is your direct connection with the current of being. The life-force of your Breathing flows; it is the central current of being that, like a life-thread, is interwoven through all corresponding levels of being from the subatomic realm to the vastness of the universe. The process of resonating with this central current flowers as and is a flower that is Oneness with SPACE.
Nisarga
Yoga, Energy Body Yoga, is the dynamic balancing act
of the pillars of Awareness: Concentration and Meditation as
a Knowing Presence that is a Centre without boundaries.
BEING AWARENESS

BREATHING SPACE
Spiritual means to breathe. Breathing is true spiritual practice as it is the substance of life.
Concentration and Meditation
Concentration and Meditation are complementary extremes of the means of Nisarga Yoga which is Being Awareness. Concentration is focused, Attending Awareness. Meditation is Spacious Awareness as the extreme that is when Concentration is relaxed.
The application of Nisarga's resonance and union begins with Concentration as listening to the simple process of harmoniously releasing and welcoming a quiet breath as your respiratory processes of inhalation and exhalation. This life-thread is then woven into the exploration of stretches and archetypal yoga poses via your energy body and the principle of energy follows attention; the process stimulates your breath's circulatory flow through your veins and arteries as you conduct energy to flow harmoniously by means of attention and the bio-feedback of sensations.
The outer journey of exploring the asanas or poses of yoga is akin to your inspiration as flow. The inner journey of exploring deep relaxation through the classic Savasana pose and Yoga Nidra (deep yogic sleep) is akin to your expiration as space.
The fabric that your practice weaves is a dynamic balancing act that honours the relationship of your mind and body, your feeling and thinking, your respiration and circulation, your spiritual and material realms, and all aspects of being. Thus the practice is the flow-ering of goodness that gives you the widespread practical benefits of natural health and well-being as you listen to every facet of your life. And, as your practice matures it flow-ers as Meditation, the Listening Itself, whereby you honour the Source Sustainer and Substance of being as SPACE~FLOW and the creative energy flow of its vitality.
