Fractals, Standing Waves and Holograms

Everything in the Living UniVerse has two recursive, self-similar attributes, spirit and nature, the male and the female. These are the inter-dependent extremes of One Integrated Reality on corresponding frequencies of UniVersal Being. The Living Relationship of these extremes is fourfold wave structure that self-organizes and self-actualizes as materialized energy (visible energetic matter) by folding back on itself to form the octave that is the fundamental building block of the Cosmos; Chaos (disorder Flow) is inter-dimensional energy that is invisible to conventional human sensing.

For example: your body-mind is a transmitter and receiver that holographically interacts with harmonious frequencies of the electro-magnetic spectrum. The frequencies that you resonate with are definite-visible as determined by your personal evolution, and, infinite-invisible as the living-understanding summit of all knowledge and innocence - Silence.

Replication and Reproduction

Fractals are like Reproduction.

Fractals are a complex geometric pattern exhibiting self-similarity in that small details of its structure viewed at any scale repeat elements of the overall pattern. Fractals are often associated with recursive operations on shapes or sets of numbers, in which the result of the operation is used as the input to the same operation, repeating the process indefinitely.

Fractals arise in connection with nonlinear and chaotic systems, and are widely used in computer modeling of regular and irregular patterns and structures in nature, such as the growth of plants and the statistical patterns of seasonal weather.

Holograms are like Replication.

Standing waves are Living Waves that are produced whenever two waves of identical frequency interfere with one another while traveling in opposite directions along the same medium (note that two interacting waves in the ocean is the ocean; the wave is the medium; ask where does the wave end and ocean begin). Holograms are 3D still-life representations of the standing wave of two laser beams (or one that is split) that commingle after being bounced off an image and its reflection. Thus Holograms are like still photos whereas standing waves are like motion pictures.

A hologram is a synthesis. It is formed through the harmonious intercourse of two opposing complimentary waves... to form a hologram a laser is necessary because its light is coherent/orderly and the hologram is formed by:

1) splitting the laser beam in two
2) bouncing one part/wave off the image of an object in a mirror
3) bouncing the other part/wave off the object itself
4) and then collecting the reflection of the bounced waves on a photographic plate that is placed at the focal point where the two waves harmoniously commingle (what forms is a 3D image of the object - thus a more complex structure is formed through the intercourse of simpler ones NOW).

The spirit-nature of waves and holograms is such that the attempt to break them down reveals only smaller and larger wholes that are different in terms of dimensions and that are the same in essence (there is no such thing as half of a hologram, a wave, a magnet, SILENCE or SPACE).

More complex processes come out of simpler ones...

Your Mind EXPERIENCES - Your Brain RECORDS

When you observe a piece of holographic film you do not see a negative image of the photographed object as you do with camera film; what you see is an intricate pattern of concentric circles that look like rain drops on the surface of a pond. This is because the holographic film records the wave pattern of the image instead of the individual points of light like a camera film - it is, in effect, a frequency record rather than a spatial image.

A laser hologram is a unique, lensless way, of photographing an object where the image is recorded onto special holographic film by laser light. When the film is illuminated by the same frequency of laser light that recorded the image, a seemingly real three dimensional image of the photographed object is projected.

In a similar light, Karl Pribram theorized that the human brain stored everything in a complex pattern formed by the holographic interference of wave energy instead of the firing of individual neurons. In order to prove this theory Pribram had to answer the breakthrough question of what standing wave-like phenomenon does the brain use to create such internal holograms. Once Pribram formed this question its answer was obvious because he knew that medical scientists had already proven that the electrical wave communications that take place between the brain's nerve cells, or neurons, do not occur alone...

A neuron's structure has branches like little trees. When an electrical message reaches the end of one of these branches it radiates outward like the ripples in a pond. And since neurons are packed together very densely, these expanding ripples of electricity are constantly crisscrossing one another. Thus Pribram realized that they created an almost endless, kaleidoscopic array of interference patterns that give the brain its holographic properties. "The hologram was there all the time in the wave-front nature of brain-cell connectivity," observed Pribram. "We simply hadn't the wit to realize it." (Today's medical scientists have conclusively shown that electrical activity emanating from the human brain is within four brainwave categories).

A hologram is a demonstration of a very special type of mathematics known as "Fourier Transforms" named for the eighteenth-century Frenchman, Jean B.J. Fourier. These mathematical formulas show how to convert any pattern, no matter how complex, into a language of waves. Fourier's formulas can also be reversed and used to convert wave forms into patterns. Thus a hologram is RELATIONSHIP as an image created by the interference of wave energy, and, the image projected out of that hologram is the pattern of the interference wave-form.

In 1979, Berkeley neurophysiologists Russell and Karen DeValois discovered that the visual cortex processed patterns by Fourier transformations of the patterns. In their experiments they attached electrodes to subjects in order to read their brain waves and had them look at a simple plaid pattern. When they analyzed the data, they found that the wave forms in the brain matched the Fourier Transform of the plaid pattern. As a result of these findings they stated that the visual cortex of the brain appeared to be functioning like a frequency analyzer and not a digital register.

Over a century before the DeValoises' discovery, the German physiologist and physicist Hermann von Helmholtz had shown that the ear was a frequency analyzer. More recent research has revealed that our sense of smell seems to be based on what are called osmic frequencies. And other researchers have shown that the senses of taste and touch also register in the brain as a frequency response. Thus we see that the brain is functioning holographically with the frequencies perceived through all five sense doors.

When Pribram discovered holography, he was ecstatic. He reasoned that if it was possible for every portion of a piece of holographic film to contain all the information necessary to create a whole image, then it was equally possible for every part of the brain to contain all of the information necessary to recall an entire memory! And, Pribram realized that if the holographic model was taken to its logical conclusions, it opened the question that objective reality - the world of rocks, trees, human bodies and galaxies might be very different than what had been previously stated by science.

Pribram realized that the solution he sought includes and transcends his field of expertise. Thus he explored other realms and when he looked into the work of physicist David Bohm, he discovered that Bohm had come to the same conclusions. In fact he learned that according to Bohm, the entire UniVerse is a hologram (the Living Hologram is a Standing Wave and today we know through the work of Dr. Milo Wolff that the structure of the electron is a Standing Wave).

Thus like Pribram before us we must now seriously entertain the possibility that what the sages have been saying for centuries is true and see that what humans perceive as Reality is Maya - a delusion-limitation of human sensing (creating images is the quintessential feature of holograms - this is what our brains/mind do). And that the Ultimate Truth is that the essence of Indivisible Reality is simultaneously simple as One Visible Holographic Living Substance and unthinkably complex as invisible-infinite-eternal inter-dimensional Living Substance (space is a cosmic-chaotic soup of energy frequencies - The OneSubstance is FLOW; the OneEssence is SPACE).

In the same light as Pribram's, Bohm's, and Wolff's intuitive insights, wisdom dictates that we stand on the shoulders of these giant seers and see the Holographic Seeing Itself. Thus we embrace Meditative Consciousness in which the waves of mental noise subside and whereby we have a Silent Mind that does not pollute Seeing. Such a mind innocently perceives the perceiving and the perceiver as the Self-Referring Inter-Course of the Living Ground of Being where we are truly at home as Space~Flow and know the place for the first time - NOW.

1. Birth of localized, seeing with a centre - Concentration causes form; (particle; harmonious intercourse of complimentary waves);

2. Adolescence, egocentric I-entity - I am concentrating (identification, labeling causes separation);

3. Adult, (I-entity as 'I am' still present) - I am meditating, I am choicelessly aware; imposed silence;

4. Old Age/Death (the end is the beginning) - turiya; I-entity has died; Meditation is formless; the Silence that is for no reason whatsoever, it is unbroken by sound.

The Latin word for God, Deus, points to the ancient understanding of the dual spirit-nature of deity. In many languages, the word denoting 'two' has a spelling and a sound very similar to the word Deus.

deux, dos, dua, deuce, dwi, Dieu-deux; Dios; Dei... and so forth...

The answer to 'How can two be One?' is simple when observing that which is Living.

A couple is One as the formation composed of the Living Relationship of its two extremes. Examples of this are self-evident in humans and standing waves where each is the integration and transcendence of opposites that gives birth to the new through their inter-course - the child that is created has and is the same spirit-nature as its creator (and so on through definite and infinite waves of generations).

It is self-evident that Space and Matter, Movement and Stillness, Sound and Silence are extremes of Consciousness as the OneSubstance - FLOW and OneEssence - SPACE as their inter-dependent relationship is such that each gives meaning to the other. If either extreme could be so dominant that all there was was sameness (like the background colour of this computer screen) then each extreme would lose its meaning.

The spirit-nature of Energy/FLOW is Intelligence - its action is appropriate to the moment. Each extreme attracts its partner as they contract to find each other and form a stable being-relationship until the sameness of their commingling causes them to repel. The power of intelligence is its diversity; its essence is the purity-sameness of its perpetual motion. Thus there is birth and death, contraction and expansion of the Living UniVersal Being on corresponding levels of Intelligent Energy.
