The true meaning of Kung Fu involves no fighting at all. If there is resistance your doing something else. If you want to see what Kung Fu is really about the closest thing was depicted in the TV series Kung FU in the 70's Get the CD set of the series and learn. It would be very difficult to find a master to teach you. You won't find one in the phone book.

lol.. first of all guys.. this seems to be Wushu Kung Fu.. the section that perfects precision in kicks.. and flexibility etc.. this IS martial art.. and tbh, whether a kick seems practical or not.. we don't know until we're in a situation that calls for it.. just because this fella can do that kick.. doesn't mean that as a Kung Fu practitioner, he'd use it in a fight, if a simple front kick would be more beneficial.. Kung Fu is about rapid response.. not like TKD which is just an abnoxious MA

I'm not going to discuss whether you are a 2-year master in Wing Chun kung fu or not, but you've quite readily proved that you;re not a master, at least at a psychological level. No MA master (any style) puts down or discriminates another MA style. And karate is not just about punching endlessly for 2 hours. There is a reason for such training. If you don't realize this than you've never down any MA.

Well with regards to bjj on the street with multiple attackers, thats hard in any martial arts situation, but at least if a guy who was double your body weight, managed to charge you to the ground, you could reverse the situation pretty quickly and make sure he didnt get up, thats at least one down. and another little hint for multiple targets always wear a nice heavy belt wid a big ass buckle lol

Hey I've heard a lot about bjj and I really think it's one of the best if not the best style of fighting in a ring, but why does it's effectiveness in the ring make it effective in the streets. No disrespect intended, but since bjj focuses so much on groundfighting, I think it's sure to help you, beat a solo attacker but how would you defend yourself with grappling against multiple attackers?

o.k i would not go as far to say kung fu is shit, and karate isnt shit either! i have trained in many forms of martial arts starting at 5 years old wid judo, then karate then kick boxing and now brazilian jiu jitsu and i can tell you if you use the best and practical fighting techniques of those styles you come out on top! thier are no rules on the streets.

Shaolin don't train to fight by mma rules. Most take downs leave the groin, eyes, throat, open. Not to mention there is are not small joint manipulations in mma. The way MMA people fight is perfect for mma rules and regulations. -- Shaolin is something way different.

KaptainKingof Kobras, I totally agree with you...I said Most pressure points wont work in real world situations,or are themselves fightstoppers. Now some "can" be applied and will work but is typically high risk. I think in real life situations you should minimize your risk and go for low risk attacks. I have a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and I would never use a back round house in a real fight. Its not worth the counter if I miss. Jiu-jitsu has never failed me yet in a streetfight.

great fight. royce was simply the better fighter, not student of the better art. its never a battle between the arts, its a battle against the artist. PadLockum, pressure points can work in real world situations, i've used them at my job, and not all simply cause pain.most can cause irreparable damage to the human nervous system. It would have been pointless to go for the guillotine grab when you had the option of going for the larynx. He wouldn't have had to get the neck lock then "LET GO" because he wouldn't have had it in the first place. In close combat (ie. grapples/chin na) the most disabling moves are always chokes or pressure points, that's why the only things useful about a sporting martial art is that it teaches you how to get hit and it keeps you fit.

yeah... panda was a LOT more interesting than i had first assumed it would be. I've originally brought the tickets because of the people who would be voicing the characters... but as i watched the movie i found myself enjoying the story as its goes. I even cried at the very end... well.. not dramatically, but it definitely touched me to the point where I've teared! And i hardly ever tear in animated cartoons! LOLs Panda is definitely not a chick flick... lots of guys enjoy it too!
